      Friday. The day I've been waiting for all week. I’d been in San Antonio, TX since Monday for a work conference. Friday. The day I get to go home and pack for Alaska.       ... downside of this of course is all the preservatives and additives that food in the U.S. tends to contain. The EU and Germany both have much stricter rules and guidelines for the chemicals that can be added to food. I usually didn't notice much of a difference in taste, except between EU and US sodas, I love the Coke Cola from the EU, which contains real sugar as opposed to chemical sweeteners and corn sugar.
