... burned, and turned a brown colour not off white! Who knew it could be done but I did get a tan. No most hotel days were filled with playing. Each volleyball, drinking at the bar, playing tequila volleyball, drinking at the bar then making new friends, having dinner together then...you guessed it drinking at the bar. ... south rim as the views and walks available are spectacular. We also stayed overnight at the rim, and this too is the only way to go, so you can experience the sunset and sunrise over the canyon. The sunset was wonderful just outside our hotel room, next to The famous El Tovar hotel ( this is the one featured in National Lampoons Vacation, where they wouldn't cash Chevy Chase's cheque and he steels some cash from the draw leaving an IOU - see attached photo). Rose enjoyed sitting in the ...

... the places I want to visit so that when I get there I know what sights I’d like to see and what food I’d like to try. I try to get some knowledge and understanding of the peoples and culture before I get there. I prefer an active vacation, as much as possible use the local public transportation, do a lot of walking, some hiking, boating or kayaking. Occasionally my husband and I would ...
