... And of course, it’s late on a Saturday and dealerships are closed on Sunday. It certainly made for a very warm drive between St. Louis and Indianapolis. After we rested a bit at the motel, we went out for dinner and when we drove back to the motel, the A/C was working again. Don’t know what that’s all about, but hopefully it will keep working till we get ...

We went to the museum parking lot, where the old Indycars were displayed. Some of the cars were getting ready for their laps around the track. We ...

    Day One – Carb Day

Many, many years ago, the race cars had carburetors instead of fuel injectors. They would run the cars a few days before the race to make sure the carburetors were setup correctly. Hence, the name Carb Day. Now it is really just the last day of practice before the big race!

Mom and dad are not as spry as they used to be. They slept in a little longer than usual. Yesterday's drive must have really tired them out! The later start had ...
