4:30am comes awfully early, but we're excited to be underway! Even the kids are excited, and with teenagers, that never happens! It was pretty strange leaving the house this morning, knowing that we wouldn't be back for almost a month. The start of our trip.

Departure from Huntsville toward Chicago. Got an all day lay over in Chicago because there is only one flght to Chicago from Huntsville.
All went well other than the American Airlines agent had to physically complete the baggage connection between Paris and Malta. This meant that he had to hand write the ultimate destination. I don' think he has ever heard of Malta.

... to throw up. I had mummy guilt about taking her on the plane but I knew that a cough would be manageable and we boarded. Once we got on the plane I was not surprised that the hosties were overweight, unhappy and kind of annoyed, they were the perfect summary of what we experienced in NYC - that the people were totally unfriendly. We got stuck in some serious NYC plane traffic and were waiting on the tarmac for a good 30minutes. Normally I would have managed, I carry lots ...
