      Heading home

After another tasty cold breakfast, we packed up to leave. Jerry was still not feeling well, so tried to nap while I went out to get genuine cashmere street scarves for stocking and christmas swap gifts. Another grey cold day but still in 40s! When I got back, we left room,my heckled out and jerry got the car to head home. Traffic was brutal again ...

Today was in the 40s but still raw and chilly. We walked north today, up Madison and fifth avenue, stopping at a watch store and the Beretta store. We had a great lunch at Lavo on e58. We sat by the window and had salmon (j) and macaroni & cheese (me). Lovely way to end a fun ...

... Linda Jean's, a cute little restaurant for lunch. Again wonderful country food, the best creamy clam chowder we have ever tasted, scallops to die for and other such delicacies. As usual, lots of laughs and jokes and the happy band makes their way back to the tender for the shuttle back to the ship. Dinner that night was in La Terrazza, the Italian restaurant onboard. It is our last dinner together and again what more could we want. We are all very privileged to be here, and ...

... world’s largest collection of historical American firearms as well as exhibits on their manufacture. I’m about as far as you can get from being a gun nut, but it was mildly interesting and another check off on the list of NPS units.

Also nearby on a hill east of downtown is Springfield’s cultural complex of museums. The Springfield Museums are a complex of five museums with single admission surrounding a large square with a Doctor ...
