We left Agawam at 5 a.m. Even though the weather was horendous we still managed to make it to Washington DC in good time, about 6 hours. The rain held off for about 2 hours while we walked around DC checking out the major sites. When ...
Agawam, Massachusetts, United States tarynswrldHello All:<br>This is my first travel blog so I welcome comments - good and bad - to help me craft something that may be interesting to somebody. Don't expect frequent updates as I don't spend a lot of time in internet cafes, or at hotel computers, when I'm travelling as there is always so much to see and do, and too little time to do it all. When I do update, you can expect details of journeys, meals and hotels, as these are things that are (usually) enjoyable for me.<br ...
Turners Falls, Massachusetts, United States tobyh... to a bedroom at your parents' house in a small suburb where Subway is considered a gourmet sandwich place is ... let's just say, different. One day you're sitting on your leather IKEA couch watching your flat screen HD TV w/ premium cable, feet on your IKEA coffee table, drinking your local organic fair trade iced coffee from the coffee shop you just WALKED to in under 5 minutes - the next, you're sitting at the kitchen table ...

South Deerfield, Massachusetts, United States sitzmana... After Larry asked if I wanted his "bear whistle" or "flare", the silence of the forest once they left was a little overwhelming. There I was "stuck" on the rock ... not willing to go down by myself, not wanting to climb higher ... waiting to get eaten by a bear. I kept thinking, "What would Sheri Keys do in this situation?!"<br><br>Obviously, I didn't get eaten. They all climbed down to me. The summit was entirely cloud covered. It ...
Enfield, Connecticut, United States scienceclubAfter lunch in New Haven, we're off to visit the Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, MA. Unfortunately, we got there at 4:00pm just as they were about to close. I just got some souvenirs and we had some ice cream before leaving for Chiqui's house in CT. Chiqui cooked the Alaskan King Crab legs for dinner, maybe the best crab I've ever tasted!<br>
Springfield, Massachusetts, United States arvalera... the landline to call Drew (a Hawaiian number!). He was waiting at Sunderland Library for me. I picked him up and we went to a great little winter farmers market with local farmers coming together..... Next, we ate a great lunch in Northampton at 'Green Bean' and then, drove many miles to Huntington to meet the owner of the 35 acre blueberry farm for ...
Leverett, Northampton, Rt 66 to Huntington, Hadley, Massachusetts, United States breathofjoyWe spent the majority of the morning packing up and getting ready to head home. It was a beautiful, sunny day and Sami was looking forward to towing the camper without the rain! Jeff and Tracy left earlier, so we headed out with Don, Steph & kids and Ron & kids. We stopped at the rest area on the way home and had some lunch. The automatic ...
Agawam, Massachusetts, United States dmassoudIt was very nice getting up and being able to shower in my own bathroom, thinking I had all the privacy in the world. However, that was not the case as my nephew Alex came charging into the camper to see if we were ready to head off to the park. Needless to say, my full moon is not one he will forget anytime soon! :-) <br><br ...
Agawam, Massachusetts, United States dmassoud... while we spent the day relaxing, settling in and making a list of everything we forgot to bring with us -- including the bbq. We were fortunate enough to be able to cook our dinner on the stove. Steph's steak took a bit more time on the stove top. But, we finally all ate and headed off to bed so we could get an early start to Six Flags New England in the morning.
