          ... food was good quality too but nothing to rave about. Started raining then so couldn't get s taxi back, waited for ages and none to be found in the end had to use an uber driver, we agreed a rate before hand as we were just using the app but then he pulled up, a little risky but we trusted he was uber driver and he had licences for us to see. Glad we negotiated a rate because after he picked us up I checked again and it had nearly doubled in price! Cost us 65 in the end, which ...

          ... in the morning and got back before the day really heated up. Most of the good hikes involve some kind of rock climbing, and it's just not that much fun when the rocks are too hot to touch. We did try a couple of the shorter hikes, and they were really spectacular.
          There was one spot in the park where you rode 5 miles down a dead end road to a place called Keys View. During that 5 miles, you rose an additional 1000 ft in elevation ...

          ... Casino to at least par take a little in the main pursuit - Gambling. A quick loosing streak at the black jack tables, well at least we got free drinks - was followed by considerably more success on the roulette table. Brad placed a number of bets but always including a bet on 8 to win - and it came in - netting us a tidy sum and enabled us to leave after an enjoyable hour or so considerably up on the night!

          ... Dad checked out some ball games in the bar. When he learned of the prices and the not-so-pleasant service at the information desk, he suggested that we head back to the Sunset Station Casino by our hotel where we waited for the van to pick us up to take us to Papillon for our helicopter ride.

          ... and so worth it. Yosemite also delivered some exciting wildlife sightings for me, including Deer, Squirrels, Blue Jays, Coyote and a Black Bear. Very cool to see these things roaming around in the wild – although the stupidity of some of the people jumping out of their cars left in the middle of the road and getting way too close to these completely wild and dangerous animals was baffling.
