Stayed over in Charlotte last night. It was our first experience with AirBNB and it went well. Jonathan and his partner were very nice and the room was clean and comfortable. On the other hand our flight experience was not nearly as good. USAir/American Airlines really screwed the pooch. They were asking for volunteers to give up seats and we decided ...

    Day 68. Saturday 1 August 2015

We drove on to Chimney Rock and took the elevator up 26 floors inside the adjacent mountain. It had been closed for service but had just opened again 3 days ago. We got to see the race car transporters that move the cars and crew to the various racing venues. He told us that they have two drivers per truck and they drive in five hour shifts, stopping only to get fuel and food. They are getting ready to depart to Michigan for a race next Sunday.

... so what do you expect?

    - We put the house on the market (for sale by owner) - meaning my sister was the realtor and lead negotiator. First people to see it - bought it.

    - We moved my mom to my sister's house.

    - Construction Project: My mom built (not herself) an addition onto my sister and brother-in-law's house. Full apartment with kitchen, living, bedroom, bathroom, her own entrance and patio.

    - We painted my sister's deck (which ...
