The hotel was clean and the staff was helpful. The location was great we were surrounded by great restaurants on a gorgeous business strip right on the beach.

It was built by Feadship (which stands for First Export Association of Dutch Shipbuilders) which is recognized as the world leader in building nautical toys for the uber rich.

Day two was basically a repeat with some board and card games added in the mix! What a great experience for my first hostel. I have a feeling that this one will be one of the nicer hostels that I will stay in. (To compare, if there were any solo travelers on the Pearl last week, I never met them)

Then my own mini- drama began, Ann said her flight was delayed (she's flying delta - next terminal over) because of air traffic control issues. Our agents were saying we would be departing on time. Michael found out there was an incident at JFK - all flights inbound would be delayed to 3:30pm. The texts were flying back and forth.... But ultimately, we boarded and took off only ...

Our hotel near the airport was nice. It was more expensive but far better than anywhere we had stayed in the previous six months and it had a free airport shuttle bus. Unfortunately, we were only there for a few hours and didn't get a chance to use the pool. It was quite late when we arrived, ...
