The hotel was clean and the staff was helpful. The location was great we were surrounded by great restaurants on a gorgeous business strip right on the beach.

... to the beach and found ourselves a space in amongst the crowds. Almost immediately the clouds came over and it remained cloudy for the rest of our time there, albeit still reasonably warm. First we started off at a place called The Kampong which is a tropical garden in an area called Coral Gables. A very affluent suburb of Miami and we did a walking tour around the gardens which were lovely. Then it was off to Fairchild Botanical Gardens which are in ...

... very close to the causeway, making this area more or less a cul de sac. The only boats that passed by were the boats that belonged in the neighborhood. The most noise we did hear was the constant cacawing of the peacocks. Yes, there were peacocks. We never saw them but heard them all day long. Our friend informed us that many years ago, some domesticated peacocks got loose and multiplied exponentially in the wild. They apparently roam the neighborhoods and can be seen sitting on ...
