Nice big rooms with very comfortable amenities. Convenient location, but not much to walk to.

We begin another long leg of our world journey here in Ft. Lauderdale aboard the Amsterdam. With a lot of trepidation and a bit of a heavy heart, we depart and hope for the best. We are going to travel from here to Singapore for 57 days and hope for lots of sunshine and fair winds.
The Amsterdam looks a tiny bit worn in a few spots, but …

... stay for the next two nights. When everything was arranged, we freshened up and went to look for a place to have dinner. We came across a diner that was famous for its burgers (yes, again), and was also showing the Oscars on a big screen. We dropped the car off and made our way to ...

We are finding that whoever we speak too here loves our accent and wants to know all about Australia.

... story (it's in Spanish), when I get a chance.

I was completely surprised by the food in Spain, not about how good it was, but how cheap it was. I'm not sure if it's because of their ongoing financial problems or if it's always been that way, but I didn't spend more than 12 Euro on a meal. Breakfast and lunch were incredibly cheap, I don't think I paid more than 5 Euro for either. The bread was very good, not ...
