      My first full day of adventure.
      So in preparation for my 14er within the two weeks, I went to the gym at 8am. Like what even. I pretty much died and then came home and did laundry, got lunch etc etc. Then Declan, Olly, Nardos, Hailey and I decided to head up to Horsetooth.       ... chronological order! Nevertheless, they did a good job with the murder, lynching and resulting ghost story, with Astrid recreating the position of the ghost on the spiral staircase. The moral of the story - heavy drinking leads to no good! Apparently, there was a strict curfew for under 17 year olds between 7pm and 7am right up until the late 1960s.

      ... which is the highest highway in the United States. We got up above the tree line to nearly 12,000 feet. We stopped at the visitor center there and it was pretty cold! You could definitely feel the altitude also as some of us felt a little funny in our heads. We later learned that up there the snow drifts can get as high as 35 feet!       It doesn't look like we will be heading out to see Spencer's game. Bummer! It would be a minimum 3 hour round trip drive if we went and we are not sure about traffic (on July 4) and there is a chance of rain. We drove into town, ate lunch and enjoyed the surroundings.
