In Puerto Vallarta we're taking the complete city tour that includes a stop at a Tequilla factory...sweeeet! We can also set up this tour to go to anywhere we'd like, like the beach, which sure sounds good to me! Can't wait.
We'll friends it's been a blast, but this was the last stop on the Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana Train. We're in Auburn Hills just outside of Rochester NY. It's not as big or as fancy as California, but they do what they can. I also found a great place for BBQ called Dinosaur BBQ which was fantastic. Oh well I have to cut it short Miley is about to get on the stage!!!
Auburn Hills, Michigan, United States buckle64After saying our goodbyes to everyone at Cedarlane RV Park this morning, we're on the road to Michigan, in the home! Gray skies and cool winds can't dampen our spirits - we are SO looking forward to this next week's travels - when we leave Michigan, we'll head south on I-75 towards Florida, with a two ...
Hartland, Michigan, United States pykesonthegoWe're heading west to go home after a fantastic summer.
It feels so right to be back on my bike again, it's like we never parted.
Was on the road by noon. A good, albeit wet, ride today. A bit of delay at the Sarnia/Port Huron border for Matt to renew his visa waiver form but no complaints ...
... learning principles of Permaculture and how to implement them, We also spent a lot of time touring the local area looking at possibilites and the great works other people had already implemented. We had an amazing cook Sonja, who is solely responsible for the several extra pounds we gained (our self control had nothing to do with it).
Like I said several times already we made some fantastic friends and look forward to bumming at their houses ...
... feeding him worms. I don't want to know the outcome. This nature stuff can be a little too brutal.
The neighbors saw the baby wood ducks paratroop from the box into the lake down to mother wood duck - all 18 successfully. Even better since Marilynn and Karen had sneaked a peak the week before and encountered a stubborn duck who refused to budge as 9 eggs went rolling out of the box into the lake. Imagine two grown women with ...
... Enough he said, close it up! No checking, no hassle!
Once over the border we drove and followed Tom Tom to where he told us to go. We even drove on many many dirt roads even though we told tom not to take us on on them! And, the redneck country that is in Michigan was unreal! OMG it was just sooooo funny! I never knew there were so many rednecks in Michigan State!
Finally to the ferry only to find out that the stupid american girl on the 1-800 ...
... the same airline so we exited the bus at the same time. He paused, waiting for me to catch up, turned toward me and said, "I wanted to be facing you when I apologized." By this time I was flummoxed and asked if he was sure he had the right person. He called me by name and said his memory was obviously better than mine. He claimed he had recognized me as soon as I had pulled up in my car. He was noticeably nervous but he went ...
Waterford, Michigan, United States kitchenshrink... Usually we leave either late morning or early afternoon - but today we have a 6:30 a.m. flight from Flint to Minneapolis. We were able to use our miles again to upgrade to First Class so at least we will be traveling in comfort. Stay tuned...
Flint, Michigan, United States jimstephkruegerFriday night and Saturday night we did our first two shows. The venue in Indianapolis (Noblesville actually) is small and has campsites. We arrived the first day around noon and set the tables up. Then we sat for a couple of hours while soundcheck and other setup happened around us. With no volunteers it was Josh (tour lead), Dan (I met Dan last year at DMB and interviewed with him), Haley (the other intern at the moment), and I to run the ONE tent. We went through a bit or ...
