... mind. I was (and still am) fascinated by this trip. I am very thankful for being invited on a trip with such people. I made many new friends on the way. So many memories were made on this trip. ... to New Year which I’m quite excited about. Unfortunately we are not close enough where we will be able to see the ball drop (FYI the ball is so much smaller than you would think). We are going to celebrate the UK and French (family tradition) with champagne in the flat facetiming our families and then might venture out for a bite to eat before we return to the flat for our final sleep (on a blow up bed kindly lent to us by Greg and Nat).

In all seriousness though, this is a good place to organize our thoughts and share them with you. We are so very excited to go on this adventure together and are thrilled that we can blog about it so that all our family back home can follow along.

Pretty nice drive today, from Buffalo to Rapid city via mt Rushmore. Also made a slight detour to eyeball Devil's Tower state monument on the way, was pretty cool!
