    ... singers, crazy-massive bubble maker guy), and the Bow Bridge (just very pretty, over a pond you can row on and which used to freeze over enough to skate on). He also took us to Strawberry Fields - John Lennon's memorial (was flipping hard to get a pic of this as people are constantly standing on it), and to see where he lived (and where Yoko Ono still lives). 5th Avenue - yeahhhhh, the only shops I let myself go into down here ...

    ... was every shape and size dog in there with us, running about frantically and having a fat jol. Owners stood about nattering to each other and swapping notes. Totally love this idea! After exploring for some time, we had a drink at an Irish pub and I tried to figure out what on earth NFL is all about. Then it was off to a show at Symphonyspace, a theatre on Broadway Avenue.     Arrived mid-morning without much fanfare and were able to check in early. A tip to the check-in agent got us a room with a view and free drinks at the bar. Cheers to that!! We made a beeline to Hooters for the obligatory wings to start the trip. (Ugh. No more, too greasy ...     ... and half sweet and sour. It came with celery and carrot sticks, blue cheese dip and fries. Yum! It was delicious. Phil had a beer and I had a frozen sangria.
