Who would have thought the learning experiences would begin before I even left?

Today during my morning Awakening Meditation with Margaret Nichols (see link below) I received a surprise care package dropped off by FedEx from my friend Jessica Bailey-Bartini. Jessica is no stranger to gift giving. She usually sends me a Christmas gift before Thanksgiving. She is also stellar at a quick ...

      All things Bad-ass

I've been inspired by the Badlands to make this blog post all about things that are bad-ass. Truly, I'm blown away by the Badlands. I've been to quite a few National Parks, including Denali, Yosemite, Yellowstone, Glacier, Zion, Bryce Canyon, Grand Canyon, Arches. I knew full and well what I was getting myself into when I visited those parks. ... the Rocky Mountains. Will post updates as we go!

Final update for today: we indulged in a little KFC tonight and got a sweet spot in between a pond and a cornfield. (The cornfield seems mandatory around here. The water was a bonus). Anthony got a couple of leads on a roommate today, but we're not getting our hopes up too much. Crashing soon and looking forward to crossing the halfway point tomorrow.
      Good ...

Bob and I are preparing for our two month adventure in Spain. We are attempting to hike 10k every morning and have now added another 10k in the afternoon. Along with the hikes, we have added our backpacks. The question now we are asking each other often, "Why are we doing this?" It seems silly to work this hard in retirement. The Camino is referred to as 'The road of Reflection', so maybe we will figure this ...
