I am officially on my way to New York City (currently over Michigan!) and the trip is going well so far. The seat next to me on the plane is open, which always a bonus, AND our travel agent gave me a little upgrade which never hurts J

... de onmoeting met Brad. Brad is een 15-jarige Springsteen fan en via BTX en tennis (lang verhaal) hebben we elkaar 'gevonden'. Hij woont ook in Detroit en zou dus ook naar de show komen. Het was erg leuk om hem eindelijk eens te ontmoeten.

De show was waanzinnig. Bruce moet alleen zijn topografie een beetje bijvijzelen. Hij was blijkbaar vergeten dat hij Ohio al weer verlaten had - want het duurde even voordat hij niet meer over Ohio maar over Michigan ...

Well, it never seems like too much luggage, or maybe it does. But after you have all the stuff packed; small bag, big bag, laptop bag, carryon bag, food bag, two big coats, an extra, extra big coat for a friend from Syria, then, THEN it seems like WAY too mucch luggage. Oy! We could travel with smaller bags, but that would mean we would bring fewer gifts, and have less ...

I am still at home. Only one more week. Being away from my home for three weeks requires a lot of preparation. I even know the movie that are going to have on the Flight. I am tired already!! Since I will be on a plane for almost 24 hours, I am collecting all the necessary stuff needed to be comfortable.

This is one place, which had always intrigued me; right from my days in the middle school, where I was taught it was the motor capital of the world. The name came back into my life when Sach an Auto engineer and a close friend made base at this very beautiful, historical American city and coming to the United States and seeing the very many American cars on the roads made my zeal to see Detroit even more.

Ah, it's a nice day off in Dearborn, MI at the Hyatt Regency. I needed this day. Woke up late on the bus, checked right into my room and got settled. Had some fun. ;) There's a mall across the parking lot (carpark to my touring companions) so I grabbed a sandwich with wardrobe Zoe (we have 2 Zoe's on the tour and both on my bus). They've also been stealing donated stuffed animals and baby clothes and passing them through the window on the way to the bathroom. I also ended up having about $40 stolen from my wallet (not my passport -- whew!) because I forgot to lock my apartment and the kids beat me upstairs when I unlocked the church after doing my laundry.
