We are just beginning to pack and prepare for the trip. We've been talking about it for so long, and now it's just days away. I can't believe it is finally here! We left the house this morning and went 3 miles and pulled over to fix the bicycle cover. Stopped at a rest area on I 75 and fixed the front wheel well cover, the bolts sheared and I put new bolts in to repair. Stopped for lunch and then finished the day at the welcome center in Alabama. ... back to the hotel, so we ordered drinks and sat out by the pool. We hadn't been there that long but could see thick black clouds starting to roll in from the sea in our direction. We moved to the covered area just as the rain started. Some woman was telling us about a white sports car stuck in the sand. But it wasn't the only car having trouble.
