    ... disoriented as we walked to the Paul Laurence Dunbar house (a poet and high school friend of the Wrights), stumbled into a massive car show at the Carillon Historical Park, and drove all the way across town to see the Huffman Prairie Flying Field. Along the way we caught glimpses of the University of Dayton, Wright State University, and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. All of it was mildly interesting, and yet nothing stands out.

    ... Day; hearty thanks to Bill and Sandy Sowers. I was pleasantly surprised to receive an email from a lady for whom I took a picnic photo (on the Air Force Museum grounds) on my smart phone and emailed to her (she didn’t have a smart phone or camera and it was such a lovely picnic!) So fun to hear from a stranger in Ohio! Thanks to her and to my high school friend, Avis for pleasant surprise phone call this week. Feeling blessed. . .

    ... became a Poet Laureate. Maya Angelou used the last line from one of his poems as the title for one of her books 'I know why the caged bird sings'. From there we went to the National Museum of the United States Air Force. Wow! Huge place. Very tight security at the door. The facility is big enough to house about three or four dozen airplanes. It's well presented and laid out but, to do it justice, you would need more than one ...

    ... construction zones listening to the CB and all the nonsense the truckers talk about...there was a debate about whether it's legal to drive down the road naked. The consensus was, if you are in your own truck, it should be. When a lane is closing, the truckers will pull out to block those guys that try to scoot past everyone and pull in at the last minute so they are closer to the front of the line of traffic...We've seen this before, but ...
