      ... Fortunately, I'll talk to anyone and I persuaded a nice American teenage girl to help us. Walked home from the train station along with hundreds of other people who were on the way to a Pixies concert up the road at The Hollywood Bowl. We had our first room service for dinner tonight. It was delicious and reasonably priced. As a bonus, for the first time in a long time the kids were showered, fed and in bed by 8:30. Off to Santa Barbara tomorrow in our hire car. Fingers ...
