    ... gut! Derek had two bratwurst, Munich and Rattlesnake/Rabbit with spaetzle, Larry had a bratwurst with potato salad and I had a turkey reuben with coleslaw and spaetzle. We got home about 4:00. It was great to be home but the unpacking, pile of mail and newspapers, 21 phone messages and 284 emails kept us busy for a while. It is great to be home!

    The flight over was okay, which was about the best I could hope for unless I was upgraded. After a substantial delay in Launceston due to fog, I missed my connection from Melbourne to Sydney. They put me on the next flight which was boarding as soon as I got off the last one and after another delay on the tarmac, I made my international flight with a little time to spare because my bags had been checked in ...

    ... I love, called "Sweetie-Licious Pies", written by a gal who has a 50's-style pie/lunch diner not far from Grand Rapids; plus a few other small odds and ends.

    Then it was on to the local Walmart parking lot, where we've spent many a night en route to our various destinations. The next morning, it was on to Virginia, which begins with my next post.
