Hotel was clean, but not on the beach.

The property is classy and modern. Apparently they get a lot of cruise ship business, and unfortunately along with that comes a portion of the clientele that is just there to catch a glimpse of young college girls in cruise party mode. Slightly creepy. Aside from a couple shady clients, though, the hotel was a very pleasant stay. The room had not only the expected King bed, but also a couch, refrigerator, microwave, etc (which we were not expecting). We had more than enough room for two of us. Unfortunately we were just staying the night and leaving early in the morning, so we didn't really get to make use of the other amenities offered, though the 24-hour coffee/snack stand in the lobby looked helpful. Internet was fast and free.

Historical Traveler Reviews Courtyard Cocoa Beach
Upcoming company coming to town!
I am a native to Coocoa Beach, and am planning an upcoming family reuinion here. My relatives are looking for a nice, clean, economical hotel to stay at for the weekend which is very close to the beach. I decided to take tours of a few places to get a feel for their accomodations and prices. I found the Courtyard Cocoa Beach to be very clean, have spacious rooms, and just paces from the beautiful beach. The room rates are very reasonably priced, in essence I think you get what you pay for at this hotel. Nothing is too extravagant, but then again, neither is the price. The Courtyard Cocoa Beach is a very clean, nice hotel with a very pleasant staff!
The perfect blend of relaxation, craziness, and a stable work environment!
I came to Cocoa Beach on business this past March. I found the staff and amenities to be of the highest quality. I was pleasantly surprised to find free high speed internet access in the rooms, which was indeed very necessary for my work, as well as a spacious desk with a very comfortable chair. I spent my free time laying out by the pool, walking the beach, shopping at the nearby boutiques, and even partying a little with the crazy Spring Breakers as I am fresh out of college myself. I could tell their staff's ultimate goal was to make me, a valued customer, as happy as can be. This was portrayed through their courteous mannerisms and overall organization and cleanliness of the hotel.
Pleasant Trip - get what you pay for
I stayed at this courtyard for 3 nights starting March 6, 2005. The front desk staff was excellent. They even helped us get checked in 4 hours early! The pool area is small but clean and nice. Remember, this hotel is BEACHSIDE so there is a short walk to the ocean, but the beach is very pretty and very clean! Not too crowded and the crowd that it attracts are a nice mix of families, senior citizens and the younger crowd. Not loud at all. The only problem we had was the Housekeeping staff. After our first night there we came back to our room expecting our beds to be made, and the room to have been cleaned, but the housekeeping staff left a note on our bed that was handwritten saying "Housekeeping staff is not allowed to touch guests belongings". We had left a duffle bag on our bed so therefore they could not clean ANYTHING in the room- i found that great they dont touch my stuff, but weird they cant empty our trash or at least make the 2nd bed which had nothing on it.. lazy housekeeping staff. Other than that, the trip was pleasant. Make a visit to the Cocoa Beach Pier is a must and to the Kennedy Space Center which is only a short 20 minute drive away!
Accomodating Meeting Space
This hotel provided really great meeting space and access to free high speed internet which almost seems critical today in business. I was able to get so much done, with being provided with a great room and utilities. We accomplished everything we needed in a timely manner so at the end of the day I was able to enjoy the hotels pool and great area dining without stressing over anything that we didnt complete.
Cocoa Beach is the Place to Surf
We were at the Courtyad Cocoa Beach and had an awsome time surfing the waves. The pier was great fun too. We went to Ron Jons and bought a bunch of stuff since the hotel had given us discount coupons. After a day at the beach surfing we stayed at the hotel pool were we ate lunch (be sure to get the salmon salad it was great). Even better was the server who always kept our drinks filled. I only wish they would serve drinks on the beach that would be way cool! We saw a Hampton in next door and we might try that hotel they are just as close to the beach and the rates were cheaper, plus they offer a free breafast buffet. Check out my pictures!
Great stay for all ages!
I stayed at this hotel due to its prime location. I wanted to be able to relax on the beach, not have to worry about paying for parking, and to be able to go back and forth between my room and the beach. It was perfect because I have a three year old and about half way through the day, after playing on the beach, it was time for her nap so I took her back to the room where their was air conditioning opposed to the warm weather and noise. Afterwards I took her to the pool area and she loved being able to splash around in the water as she did with the ocean waves. There were young children she could play with, but out of the way of adults where they could relax by the pool and not be disturbed.
Reporting this hotel to the Health Department
I booked the Courtyard Cocoa Beach Feb 11/12 as the last leg of a weeklong trip prior to a cruise. I had stayed at several Marriotts & have been pleased with their service & cleaniness.
I love coffee, and was happy to see a gratis machine in the lobby. After check-in, I availed myself of a cup. It was weak looking, almost tea like. Having been in the hotel business for years, I knew the coffee concentrate bottle was probably not seated properly. I informed the busy front desk, and told them I would just grab a cup from the bar, They assured me it would be fixed the next spare minute. It must have been a busy night, because in the morning it still was not right. The nice front desk clerk fetched me a cup from the restaurant and said it would be fixed by the time I got back that afternoon. After a long day, I was looking forward to a nice cup of joe, but things were the same. At this point, knowing it was a 2 minute fix, I took it upon myself to correct the problem, and opened the unlocked machine door. I couldn't believe what I saw, and ran to my room to get a camera. I took pictures, but they're too gross to post here. I'm no mold expert, but I saw at least 2 strains, floating in with the coffee, climbing up the sides. All I could picture was sick or immune compromised people blithely sipping their coffee. Maybe the heat kills the spores, but I didn't want to test the theory. I informed the front desk, they put an out of order sign on the machine. The next morning, I was going to the 7-11 for a cup of joe, and saw 2 employees standing by the machine, obviously talking about me, what was I doing in the machine. I made note to speak to the woman, Dee, the front desk manager, on my return. I told her it was a good thing I looked in there, it was a grave situation, someone could get very ill. She said it was the first she heard of it, I suggested she had a communication problem with her staff as I had told 3 different people. She then replied it wasn't my job. She's absolutely right, apparently it was no ones job. I hope its someone's job now. Marriott needs to retrain this particular front desk management in customer service. The Cocoa Beach Health department will hopefully train them in cleanliness matters.
Very clean rooms and very comfortable. The hotel was great from the moment we arrived which was at noon and had time to relax at the pool before we checked-in.
We were on vacation and the free high speed internet was a real plus since a lot of hotels charge $10 a day.
The Beach was a very short walk and at least we didn't have to cross through traffic to get there.
Overall, a very pleasant stay.
Courtyard is nice but not outstanding
My wife and I just stayed at the Courtyard Cocoa Beach for our anniversary. We had a Jacuzzi room with a King sized bed. The Jacuzzi was very nice but it was not as clean as it should have been. The pool and outdoor hot tub were also not clean enough. We asked an employee if they could find someone to clean the pool and another employee made a half-hearted attempt to clean the pool. The staff was friendly and the accommodations were above average. The walk to the beach was short and the walkway is lit up at night. The breakfast buffet was OK but the Waffle House and IHOP near by were better. Overall I would consider staying at the hotel again when we are in Cocoa Beach.
Nice Hotel, Nice Location, Shame about the service
My two kids the wife and I spent a night here while travelling from Miami to Orlando. The hotel is situated on the A1A highway but is set back from the road so is not noisy. There are a few restaurants around but you may need to drive to find one that opens late. The beach is about 200 yards walk away down a path between some other hotels. There is a nice (small freeform) pool and whirlpool. The atmosphere in the hotel, the surrounds, and the beach is very relaxed. The hotel has a snack bar which closes at 9pm and buffet breakfast which is excellent.
We arrived very late and found an Indian restaurant (The Punjab) listed in the hotel's directory which delivered and the food was very, very good ! The room was very spacious and well equipped with coffee maker, work area, seating, fridge, iron and ironing board. Looking closer though, we found rubbish under the beds and a table not cleaned.
Another gripe we had was the rudeness of the the ladies at the front desk. I would choose to stay here again - hopefully there will be different front desk and housekeeping staff on duty next time.

OMG, so much fun and no real waiting. We ride it two times and I break off to check on the kids. The remaining party go for a dip in the hot tub. Not a bad way to end our first night onboard The Dream.
The freezing cold snap in the US has hit Florida, the state with usually balmy temperatures. The gauge hovered around 8°, but with the wind chill, the temperature would have been below zero celsius. We planned to visit the Kennedy Space Centre, about 30 mins from where we are staying. The wind was merciless; thankfully there were many indoor attractions at the centre.
