The property is classy and modern. Apparently they get a lot of cruise ship business, and unfortunately along with that comes a portion of the clientele that is just there to catch a glimpse of young college girls in cruise party mode. Slightly creepy. Aside from a couple shady clients, though, the hotel was a very pleasant stay. The room had not only the expected King bed, but also a couch, refrigerator, microwave, etc (which we were not expecting). We had more than enough room for two of us. Unfortunately we were just staying the night and leaving early in the morning, so we didn't really get to make use of the other amenities offered, though the 24-hour coffee/snack stand in the lobby looked helpful. Internet was fast and free.

This evening, Jeff picked me up and we head to meet some others at 'Slow and Low'. It's a pretty good place, but bizarrely they are playing bingo here. We get roped in to one game, but didn't win. Jeff did come pretty close ...

... exactly what I do this morning. I reviewed this hotel on Tripadvisor last year and I believe I was less than complementary, but for good reason. But I have to say that it has improved. The bar and Restaurant furniture has been changed so gone is the tired look and feel. It's not the greatest hotel, but now certainly not too shabby. There's a local news report of 2 cars driving down a busy street, ...
