    ... three campground in Paducah to find a place to stay, only place we could find is at an race track RV park. This place is a nice campground, had to unhook the car to get into the site, but it is clean and level and only $30 a night. Will be in Paducah, KY tomorrow for the BBQ on the River. ...

    ... checking out the place and then went to the Iowa 80 Trucking Museum. (some of the crew had ice cream from the DQ there before the museum visit) The museum displayed vintage trucks, signs, fuel pumps and photographs. We left there, drove for awhile, stopped for lunch and got back on the road. We stopped for the night in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Had a new dinner experience. There were a lot of closed lanes due to highway construction, so we got off and drove some local roads once we were in Iowa.....very beautiful stretches of farmland but in many places, virtually deserted.     ... are good and wind through the rolling hills. The mississippi is never far away, supporting commercial and leisure craft and activities. It has several locks and dams on the way and weaves it way South, eventually spilling out into the gulf of Mexico at New Orleans (which we stayed a night at many moons ago on this trip)
