We were greeted by cold rainy weather and it was dark and gloomy. But we had a nice comfy hotel that we checked into and we made it home very quickly.
We gained a day so it is the same date as when we left Auckland.
We are still on NZ time so it will take a bit of adjusting. This morning we woke up late (due to timezone difference) and missed breakfast.
We went to pick up our rental ...

When we were here in 2012, we enjoyed an off season tour of Warner Brothers. No shows were being filmed and the tour had full access to the Lot. This time everything was in motion. But, it was a Friday so it was a relatively quieter day. Another way of saying that is to tell you that the Ellen Show was not being taped and so there was no chance of bumping into her that day!! ... For the main course I chose the NY Strip with the au poivre sauce. The steak was a bit of a disappointment considering the price—it was half gristle/fat and for the price and quality of steak house they bill themselves as I would expect better. I prefer Hy’s Steak House for the meal ...

... area... get comfy. Announcements pepper the wait: "no cameras, use the bathroom now - you can't later, turn off your phones!" Oh and "do not touch the talent or ask them for autographs." Gotcha... bummer, no signed script. (OMG...Thank you Sheri!!)
    2. The guests for the show are announced - the entire cast of Scandal. Screams abound. They show the third season finale to catch everyone up if they aren't regular viewers. Seriously? Who could not watch this show? It ...

Today was designated as Theme Park Day - Universal Studios! We started off with the Jurassic Park ride, which invoved sailing along a river with dinosaurs squirting us from all sides, followed by a big drop down a slope into the water. We all got soaked! We also did the Studio Tour, which was brilliant! Especially the 3D King Kong bit, where it felt like the giant ape was shaking us around and jumping on the tour bus. William loved it :) Mainly, the day was spent queueing and keeping ...
