Then, I had to teach a class that night at IU. I dare say the students did not have me at my best, but they were all very understanding and tolerant of my sleepy ...
Sometimes getting ready for a trip is harder than the trip. So, this time, on top of the laundry, the mail-stopping, the packing, I needed to add the grading of 161 personal essays by 9th grade writers. Ye-haa!
Well, the papers got graded and the grade book is closed for two weeks. Can I hear another cheer of celebration?!!!

... big fan. I should probably pause here to explain an Indiana specialty we sampled at the Trojan Horse thanks to Brandon. Around these parts it's called a tenderloin sandwich. As in pork tenderloin. Imagine schnitzel between a hamburger bun with cheese. It's an Indiana specialty and after devouring half of his sandwich in addition to my gyro, I'm not sure why it hasn't made it out of Indiana.
