    ... the bayou. It should be a great change of scenery. We have the same hotel booked that we stayed in over 10 years ago when we were last in New Orleans. We're curious to see what it looks like since Katrina. We'll be there for 3 nights which includes Jody's birthday on the 2nd. I'm sure we will find some great places to eat.

    ... the road. Sitting on my soaking wet sheepskin isn't as bad as it looks, it dries incredibly quickly. Have you ever seen a soggy sheep? I think not. I stopped for gas a bit later and while I was pumping the heavens opened up again so I was stuck there for about 30 minutes.

    Still,driving across Texas. Staying at Hidden Lake RVPark for two nights although there's nothing to do in Beaumont. But the park is nice. Rainy and humid but okay! Like the sound of rain. We had dinner at Tia Juanitas, interesting MX and cajin food. A new food we never had before, ...
