    ... The last four hours of which -- you know, the mountain part -- were in pouring rain and the last 15 miles -- you know, to the inn part -- were in pouring rain and pitch black darkness on the Blue Ridge Parkway. I literally kissed the ground when I got out of the car. Then drank the better half of a bottle of Gewurztraminer with dinner.

    We pulled into a very small six spot park and picked out our spot next to a babbling creek that was nestled up to the Pisgua National Forest.  It was a beautiful, peaceful spot.     July 12-Took us 10 hours because we missed the exit, zoned and ended up in Fayetsville. Oops! At least Jim got to 'see' Fort Bragg during our re-route. Arrived to cottage pleasantly surprised at the surroundings. So happy to be here! July 13- Spent time talking with Tama (Indian nick name) who lives here 20+ years.     ... so that vegetation was wet. Dan had a machete and chopped away at some of it, but it did little to help.
