... at the Cherokee Reservation. It is very commercialised, lots of tourist shops, motels and the casino. We were dropped in downtown Asheville for dinner and went to the Wayside Diner. Finally got to hotel at 8:20pm. Saw the difference of Southern hospitality, they had complimentary cupcakes and cookies and breakfast is included down south. Today was another day of hiking and waterfalls, so we needed to start with a good breakfast. Being Sunday morning, not much was open in Brevard, but we did find one cafe open and serving breakfast. We both had a good meal, and Nadia had 2 cups of coffee! So very specialized and not many places that work on them. I will have to find somewhere else to get it fixed once we get home. It may mean a trip to Oregon as there is another place there that knows this coach well. In any event, it didn’t turn out like I hoped. But, as they say, life goes on.

There is much to do in the South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee mountains. Most of the pictures in this entry are of my parents and I taking a drive up to Asheville and back through the Blue Ridge Parkway. I consider Asheville to be the center of the activities I enjoy with my family.

Yesterday, I treated my mother to a massage at Peaceful Way Massage in downtown Asheville. She said it was the best massage she has ever ...
