... boulevards and giving us yet more photo opportunities. Our Howard Johnson motel is a couple of miles outside Williamstown and ideal for our purposes. Supper at the "Chopsticks", the local Chinese, Japanese and Korean eatery, very nice and reasonable. It is a source of amazement that sweet and sour pork and Chinese chicken curry seem to be the same the world over, though probably not in the Orient! Though Steph did say her curry was much ...

... Now we have a car, we can stop at will (well almost) and can enjoy our own lunch choice. Another dose of retail therapy too - Steph skipped the tablecloths and opted for new jeans, while I thought of next summer and bought a pair of shorts from Sears! Exciting stuff, eh?

... Tom was required to get us back on track.

Booked into another Comfort Inn outside Albany. We are now considered to be "preferred members" as we have stayed with them quite a few times. This hotel is quite fancy looking from the outside and has banquet rooms. Had Italian for dinner at a nearby restaurant. We have decided to spend 2 nights here to have a bit of a rest day tomorrow and we have spent a few hours researching where to stay in New York City. Still none the wiser.

... Portable AM radios - do you remember those? The artists that performed at Woodstock never seemed that young. We really enjoyed the two hours we spent there. Just missed, Jimmy Buffet, James Taylor and Zac Brown concerts that were there recently. Now that would have been cool. After that we drove the 77 miles to Bergen, New ...
