... I am trying to remember where we saw the other servants quarters - could it have been the Gould house? There seems to be more recognition of the role the servants played in the historical sites. We were to hear and see how the Irish servant women lived in several different houses on our tour of New York.

We drove south Along Taconic State Parkway south to I84 then west to Tri State Area at Point Jervis where New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania all intersect. ... The road winds through forested hills and the Fall foliage was just beginning to show its mettle. There are scenic lookouts at various spots and we sampled the Hairpin Turn and climbed to Whitcomb Summit (in the car, I might add).
