As arranged got picked up at 9.10 - seemed strange as the talk the driver gave sounded the same as the one yesterday but we were told we were going to the Arizona and then would be taken back to Waikiki. The other passengers then told us that they had booked to be back in Waikiki for 1.30 as some of them had flights to catch. When we arrived at …
Picked up at 9.10 am by Hawaiian Adventures and taken to Pearl Harbour. Have seen the films and now to see where it all happened. There are museums - the Bowfin submarine (which we didn't go on - don't like them) - the monument to the Arizona and the Battleship Missouri. It is classified as a National Park run by the military. There are some pieces …
Took the campervan back to Britz (glad to be rid of it). We saw the Manager who had a list of our phone calls and complaints. She was very sympathetic and said she would take it up with her National Manager and get back to us.
Now to the airport and Hawaii with a stop off in Fuji. We flew with Fijian Airways and the crew were so cheerful …
We flew into Oahu a few days early to escape the damp weather of New Zealand. Had heard mixed reviews of Waikiki but enjoyed our time there. Good beaches, great people watching, surfing, shops and restaurants.
Hanauma Bay was a pretty spot popular for snorkelling, with Marine Reserve status.
Apart from enjoying continuous sunshine, the highlight of Oahu was our day at Pearl Harbour. A slightly chaotic but memorable and, at times, moving reminder of the ...
... constructive. I plan to take another look later. I cannot wait actually, we are getting really excited about living in Oz.
First stop, Turtle Bay. We had some mini oreos for the journey so by the time we arrive (it is about 15 minutes away) Elwood is bouncing off the walls. We are glad to let him free into the water for a proper razz around. Woody is delighted. He jumps and plays for ages in the ...

Historical Traveler Reviews Courtyard by Marriott Waikiki Beach Honolulu
I stayed at the Wyland from July 28-August 3 and had a great experience. I owe it to other trip advisor users to post my experience on this as this is the reason I chose this hotel.
My husband and I returned from a one week stay at the Wyland Waikiki last week. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel.
We had a wonderful stay, the rooms and bathrooms are very clean and you can tell everything is new. The shower stall itself is small but very nice and clean. A microwave, small refrigerator and a sink are in the room. The small/medium sized pool is beautifully landscaped with tiki torches lit at night. The lobby and bar area have great colors, clean lines and is very hip with doors they keep open that lead to the pool. Everyone was very friendly. We went searching for ice one night on our floor and found out that all you have to do is call the front desk and they bring it up to you - very nice.
Loved the Wyland
This hotel is so cool. The rooms are great and the public areas are hip and contemporary. The location is a short walk to some of the best shopping I've ever seen! Can't wait to come back
Beore it opened
The outside of hotel is great. We were in Honolulu from 9/3 to 9/14. Went into Wyland hotel 3 times, front desk was staff was nice, as well as rest of staff. The entrancewa y was inviting from the parking lot. Anticipating the opening of the gallery store, since the one in Honolulu closed as well as the gallery on the North Shore moving. Asked for rates, were told to go to website. Found out today that rates could not be found until November. So, the hotel is open, yet staff does not know rates, which begin in November.
