... than soup we went in and ordered. "4 spring rolls please"."NO." Barked the Chinese lady who then turned away and carried on cooking! So we left. We did eventually find a Chinese, which looked terrible, had rubbish piled outside and lots of scruffy looking loiterers, but the food was AMAZING and very cheap!
That morning Jane had suggested I wear shorts that have an onion bag as opposed to the Under Armour boxers which were causing me to get quite moist in the nethers. ...

... New Yorkers cholesterol since...' - nice! We went to the most ridiculously big Italian food shop, eataly, with its own restaurant for each specialised area. We then got lost on the subway and ended up in Brooklyn but enjoyed a walk along the Brooklyn bridge park piers with lots of free sports areas and the views back on the mega skyline. We got the sea taxi back to lower manhattan n it was time for iced ...

So good they named it twice :-) Now we've visited I can totally understand why so many people love this city. We were only there for 3 days in total, so it was a bit of a whistle-stop tour but we had brilliant fun! We did the full-on tourist thing, starting with a trip up the Empire State building. The weather was literally freezing (it was something like -6oC at ground level) but because it was a clear, frosty day, we could see for miles! The view is incredible from the Statue ...

Today we caught our first subway downtown. We went to a bakery that sold CRONUTS... half croissant half donut. I walked into the shop whilst Keenan walked a little further to see what all the fuss was about because there was a huge line at the next door shop??? He came back in and explained that was the cronut line. We tried pushing in and even tried to pay people to buy ours. They were disgusted haha ...
