      Typical rip-off chain hotel

Positives - excellent location for visiting the Palace.
Negatives - Very poor value for money. Like many typical 4 star business hotels you get very little for your money and the hotel want to extract every last euro from you. But I have never stayed in a place that makes you buy milk for your coffee.
We have been travelling Europe for over a month and this hotel is the biggest rip off. Even in guesthouses a third of the cot you will find free wifi, and often a simple breakfast included.
Reccomend staying elsewhere and get a taxi ti the Palace with the money you save.

We arrived in Vienna, Austria, after 16 hours of travel from SLC to Detroit to Amsterdam to Vienna. We took a little (or a lot of;)) nap at the Marriott before
walking to the Schonbrunn Palace (built in the 16th Century). We loved the well-manicured gardens, fountains, and statues! Although the castle was not open at the < …

The last leg of the tour was the Imperial Apartments which took you through the last of the Hapsburg Emperors, Franz Joseph's conference rooms, office (very simple) his bedroom ( very austere), the smoking room and the family dining room. Sisi's rooms were twice the area, with a dressing room ( she spent 2-4 hrs a day putting on creams and having her hair done) an exercise room, bedroom, bathroom, small salon and ...

On our return to Vienna, we went to a Viennese cake shop for lunch and had coffee and cake - my apple strudel was yum.

After lunch, we ended up at St Michael's Church for the daily 3pm concert where they played classical organ music. It was just beautiful.

To redeem ourselves from yesterday, we went to a Viennese ...

... camera battery charger. This was easy and we got it quick and easy. Then from there it was to the train station to catch the train. Again the train was in time and nice and easy to get in and find our seat. So far this day was turning out to be just as we had planned! But there is almost always some sort of hiccup. Once in Vienna we went to our hotel and this was really when the day began. The first site was a wall of scaffolding ...
