Well, we have made it home in one piece...and in peace! The trip home was very smooth....in most respects. Getting to the Venice airport was not a problem, and getting thru security was quick and easy. So very different from our experience in 2011 flying out of Rome....thank goodness! We have had a few days to unwind and catch our breath. It is good to be home and back with friends and family. It takes about a week for the body to adjust to the time change and some time to step back into our own culture.

This is a time for reflection of the lessons learned, the places visited, the friendships we developed, and the lasting impact this adventure will have on our lives. I am honored ...
