Monday 16/3 - After fueling up we headed off to Tampa or more specifically Tarpon Springs which is a small Greek fishing village about 20 miles north of Tampa. It was recommended to us by some people we met on the cruise. Our GPS said it would be a 1 hr 45 min drive but it ended up taking us 2 1/2 hours due to traffic leaving Orlando and then around Tampa. The amount of traffic congestion is just amazing considering the roads are 3 and 4 lanes wide in one direction ...
... interesting to see them tack and catch the wind time and time again. The race started about seven and we were blessed with the most unusual and beautiful sunset - just look at the photos and you will know what I mean. There is always a little party on the boat afterwards and as it was someone's birthday too, then it was a little bit more celebratory than usual. On the way home we ordered pizza - the World Series of Baseball is also in full swing - so we watched this game out ...
