    A Short, but Satisfying, Stay

We stayed just the one night here, and arrived just before midnight...so our experience is pretty limited. The hotel itself is lovely. Beautiful lobby which includes the restaurant. Our check-in was very efficient and we were in our room (which turned out to be a handicap-accessible room with an interesting full room shower). The room was a good size, had great views from the windows (it was a corner unit, so there were lots of windows), and was very clean and well-maintained. It was a little warm, and the arcane air-conditioning controls were beyond me, but never unbearable.
The next morning we discovered that the breakfast was included in our room rate and it was very, very good. A huge selection of hot and cold foods beautifully presented in an interestingly decorated, and very comfortable restaurant. A great way to start the day.
They were very happy to hold our luggage after we checked out, so that we could set off to explore Stockholm before we moved on to our ship later that day.
Overall, efficient, friendly service and a clean well-maintained room. I'd recommend it without hesitation.

A Relaxing day and Anxious Trip

Today was a rest day. After getting up very early to see Cyndy and family off, I went back to bed for a lie in. Then up for a breakfast of whatever was left in the fridge (we managed to finish off most of the food) and a day of relaxing before our 8:30 p.m. flight to Stockholm. We had to check out of the room by 10, but then left our luggage at the …

Well, again we awoke to a pretty steady rain. It may sound like this has been a wet trip, but it hasn’t been that way. It seems to rain early, clear up around mid-morning and stay beautiful the remainder of the day. Today was a great example of that, except the morning rain lasted well into the late morning – we borrowed an umbrella …

First of all – thanks for all the great comments and well-wishes! We wish we could respond to each one, but then we wouldn’t spend much time seeing and doing things! Keep sending those notes!

We awoke to the best hotel breakfast spread we’ve seen in a long time – meat, cheese, eggs, freshly prepared yogurt, fruit, …

Today was a special day, not only did I celebrate my 66th birthday but Lars and I were married in Stockholm!

We are so joyful to share this news with you. We were married in the home of our Stockholm friends Christine and Pelle. They were our neighbors when we lived here and have been visitors in our home in Sarasota and El Campello. Last …

... had 10 eyes we might stand a chance of not being hit by a car, cut off by a pedestrian or running up the backside of another cyclist! Through the centre and into the old town, limbs and bicycles still intact, just in time for the changing of the guard at the royal palace (where the royals don't even live). I'm yet to experience this at Buckingham palace but if its anything like this, what a crock of ****!! 3 steps to the ...
