The hotel is located just outside the central area of Stockholm....but just a quick subway ride away. When I arrived @ 2 p.m. my room was ready. I will include a further review upon the completion of my stay

    A Short, but Satisfying, Stay

We stayed just the one night here, and arrived just before our experience is pretty limited. The hotel itself is lovely. Beautiful lobby which includes the restaurant. Our check-in was very efficient and we were in our room (which turned out to be a handicap-accessible room with an interesting full room shower). The room was a good size, had great views from the windows (it was a corner unit, so there were lots of windows), and was very clean and well-maintained. It was a little warm, and the arcane air-conditioning controls were beyond me, but never unbearable.
The next morning we discovered that the breakfast was included in our room rate and it was very, very good. A huge selection of hot and cold foods beautifully presented in an interestingly decorated, and very comfortable restaurant. A great way to start the day.
They were very happy to hold our luggage after we checked out, so that we could set off to explore Stockholm before we moved on to our ship later that day.
Overall, efficient, friendly service and a clean well-maintained room. I'd recommend it without hesitation.

Knowing that I was just a short walk away from the train station, I was able to leave my hotel 15 minutes before my train was due to arrive. Destination – the airport….flight bound for Stockholm, Sweden. This will be the last country that I visit.

Since I had my 24 hour transport card and it was still valid, I simply had to pay …

... important. Everyone heads out to the country and the city empties out. Stefan, Susan, the children and I piled into the car and drove out to Ekerö one of the many islands around the Stockholm archipelago. We met up with friends Anna, Rikard and their children and carried our picnic baskets and had a lovely traditional Swedish lunch while waiting for the festivities to begin.

Our lunch was different kinds of pickled herring, boiled ...

... we had the opportunity to dry off and change clothes at the hotel before our visit to the VASA Museum.

Entering the VASA Museum is a bit like stepping 400 years back in time. Built in the early 1600s, this massive ship of war sunk only 20 minutes into its maiden voyage. Its remains were discovered on the floor of the Baltic Sea during the 1960s, when it was subsequently raised and reconstructed. It remains today a time capsule, giving us a ...
