Upon waking up at the Rye Patch Dam State Campground we fixed breakfast, took a few photos and headed back on the road. We were out of nevada and into Utah before too long. The change in the environment was visually striking and it started becoming fairly obvious to me why our forefathers who decided when a state ends and a new one begins may have chosen those particular lines.

On our way out, we shot some drive-by photos of the capitol building, Eagle Gate, and Beehive House and Lion house – two homes occupied by Brigham Young and other Mormon presidents along with their multitudes of wives and children.
All-in-all, we like Salt Lake City. We’d like to return on a weekday to see more. And Mike wants to move ...
