Morocco London: With and without kids

A travel blog entry by mediterranean12 on Nov 16, 2013

... am separate from my kids. I will be bound to them by a million reasons and with aching powerful love. But the separation is undeniable and desirable.

This trip is a hybrid. I will have one wonderful week alone in Morocco and then one wonderful week with my kids in London. I'm excited for both. I know it is a luxury that most single moms don't have. I have beyond amazing parents and in-laws who watch my kids and somehow convince me that I'm doing them a favor.

We are staying close to the centre of Salt Lake City at KOA Salt Lake. We arrive and head straight for the pool which is really lovely. Our favourite family r and r time. Dylan and Emma wallow in the hot tub for ages; it's like having a bath. It's been such a long time since we've had baths. The children's last bath was in Hawaii. The adults can't remember if they've even had one since Taya was born.

... never.  The good news is my bike is so silly that I think I am allowed to ride on the sidewalk.  My bike has swoopy handle bars and a kickstand.  My sister bought it at Target and gave it to me when she moved to Texas.  It has a seat large enough for two bums and one pygmy clown.  I think bikes like that deserve the sanctuary of the side walk.  It is like a nerd-bike ...

Bonneville Speed Week - Day 2

A travel blog entry by wheresgordon on Aug 12, 2012

... there was supposed to be a dinner at the KOA some evening. We stopped in at the KOA and there was a dinner being served. I'm not sure it was the one that I had seen advertised but it was the Bonneville crowd and we seemed to be welcome so we got in line and had dinner. After dinner we made the long drive back to our hotel.

... Initially there were going to be 8 couples committed to this trip- but at the last moment Tapan and Rucha had to drop out as their 8 month old little boy Vyom was sick. So 4 couples went in the first trip and Amrish and I were the first in the second trip. We waited for Aditi-Ankur and Keyur-Hiral who were flying in from Phoenix just about an hour after us.
They arrived as planned and we got ...
