    ... expecting the Everglades to be all water but we weren't in that part of the park. We saw mangrove swamps and rivers of grass and tree hammocks. It was interesting though and beautiful...and it was very windy today so there was no mosquito problem at all. Glad about that - we were more afraid of the Everglades mosquitoes than the alligators! We did see a large yellow snake that joined us on the boardwalk... he was a little scary ...

    ... to finally let me experience what all the talk was about. And let's just say, it walked the walk, with the whole complex being absolutely massive! Think Big-W combined with Woolworths and then double it. It had a bloody subway inside it for gods sake (so unnecessary). It dead set had everything needed in the world, at a ridiculously cheap price. The only thing that I found it didn't sell was spirits (or hard liquor as they call it).     ... up on the edge of town, and asked a local to point out a $1 minibus, as they all looked the same. Back at the cruise terminal, Dianne attempted to Internet at the Hubble Bubble bar, free once you bought a drink, while Murray retired back to the ship. This time we had to show our Photo ID. Two women and a man, a lot older than us didn't have theirs, but immigration made an executive decision and let them through as unlikely druggies or terrorists.
