... hills were covered with creeping vines that make the hillside look like it has giant plant monsters coming up out of the ground. Thursday 17/Friday18 April, After 3 days of complete rest, I decided to test the ankles/legs....by doing a 52 mile nonstop hike, with my pack. I left at 11:30 on Thursday the 17th. First 16 miles went by quick, stopped at the shelters along the way to talk and eat - as usual. When evening came, I ate dinner, said see ya to the crew, and started on the rest of the 36 miles.
