... because someone thought 5:30 a.m. was a good time to fly out. But instead of sleeping I will lay their with my thoughts running 90 miles an hour - is everything packed, did I get everything done at work that I should have, am I crazy for going away for two whole weeks? ... three hour drive into New Orleans so we should be there by noon. Our campsite is very nice. Has water and electrical outlets right next to the picnic table and even has a shower in the bathroom. After a light shower overnight (we stayed dry), today was absolutely perfect. We relaxed all day, doing our own little things. Sherry read her book on a float in the water, Debby laid on her lawn chair in the sun, and I went for a long walk exploring the campground. We had grilled pork chops (not squirrel) for dinner, with wild rice, and French cut green beans with sautéed onions and mushrooms. After we had cleaned up the dishes and all, we drove the mile and a half to the entry area and added a third day to our stay. We tried to do it yesterday, but the woman there said that they couldn't do it until the day of the night of the extended stay. Whatever that means... Sounds like a government plan to me.
