      On the Road Again

Unfortunately my first observation was of my pasty white legs remaining after spending almost an entire week in the tropics. Also to my surprise, my leg hair was much longer than I thought to have left it. The shower in the Florida home is dark and hard to maneuver so shaving your legs is a quick reach and swipe and cross of your fingers it would be decent for public viewing.

Got off Monday after 12...heading for Columbus, OH 1003 miles away....and had to be there by Wednesday.

... morning today. Headed for the laundromat and did up a couple of loads, then went adventuring. Went to the mounds at Ocmulgee National Monument and had a great visit. Good museum and video, amazing gathering mound with chief's circle, and visits to outside of funeral and other mounds. A bit of a walk for me through the river / backwater area with herons and egrets. Then it was on to the Fish and Pig for a great supper. Back to the camp early for some quiet time. A great ...

... 8230; we will drive through Perry looking at the houses and buildings and churches built as early as 1825. I read the limited information provided by the brochure—but we really enjoyed the driving tour.

The drizzling rain never did stop today, but we did not let that stop us. We enjoyed our day and saw as much as we could. We had planned to walk ...
