As part of my time here at Carnegie Mellon, I have been given the amazing opportunity to travel to Doha, Qatar over Spring Break to tour our Middle Eastern campus. The program is called IMPAQT (Initiating Meaningful Pittsburgh and Qatar Ties) and our goal is not only to foster relationships between the two campuses, but also promote a more hefty exchange program for semester or year-long study.

Mixed emotions today. We had to start trying to pack our stuff...what an effort! How did we end up with all this extra? Basically that took us all morning. Phew!
This afternoon we waited for Steve & Sarah to finish work so we could all go to the Kenny Chesney No Shoes Nation tour concert @ Heinz Field. We drove into Pittsburgh and had a bite to eat before we got on the ferry to cross the river to the concert.
... now thank you to all of you for an amazing night. I felt so blessed to have all of these special people share my birthday with me.
Turns out that June 20 is also the birthday of West Virginia, so the night ended with us all sitting on the front porch watching a brilliant fire works show. How nice of them to do that for my birthday....well, that's my story anyway.
Thanks again everyone, I will never forget this birthday.
