... dip, spiral-cut ham with mashed potatoes and bacon green beans, and my favorite: a homemade Bengali feast. Kichuri (rice & lentil dish), Bengali eggs, Kosha Murgir Mongsho (cinnamon-chile chicken curry), Bhuna Gorur Mongsho (cumin beef curry) might take several hours to prepare, but I feel like it's worth someone else cooking all day for the absolute, unqualified joy I feel when I eat this food. Sunday afternoon Lexy picked me up and we headed into the cities to see the Holidazzle Parade which was described to me as a lighted parade. I don't think we have anything similar in Australia but it is basically floats and people dressed in outfits that seem to be outlined in lights so when you take photos it almost looks like they are floating.
