Families and friends that we will miss so much. We are taking this trip because we want to see and learn many things but knowing that we won’t be able to see them for a while makes me very sad. Just thinking about it makes me cry. But as JK said to me today, goodbyes are needed in order to have hellos. For families we will meet in Korea and friends we ...

... The flight was for tomorrow!

That's when I pulled out the phone and said, "Hello, IHG? Can you get us a hotel for the night in Minneapolis?" Yes, last room at Crowne Plaza MSP. I'll take it. Worked well. Then I thought, you know what, if we're gonna be in MSP for the night, I want a Juicy Lucy! So, we rented a Hertz and headed to the Crowne Plaza.

I walked in and told the lady, "I think you may have just received ...

    • The Chinese system for baggage claim is really efficient. We always got our bags almost as soon as we arrived at baggage claim. I wonder what our American airports can pick up from them.
    • I had said that we were not allowed to take photos of the farmer who discovered the Terracotta Warriors and that he did not acknowledge me. I later learned that apparently did not include Sandy, who not only got a photo of him, but also shook his hand. I ...
