          ... up with a bag of apples, apple cake, apple bread and apple cider we relaxed in the sun listening to a hillbilly and his daughter play to the gathering crowds.

          Thank you to everyone for RB’s cards and presents for this birthday and also for your thoughts and support over the last 12 months. RB (and we) are lucky to have shared these 12 months with you all, even if bumping into you in the street means Ironman Bob would still be homeless.

          On Sunday the Wombles awoke with a mission in mind. So after a businesslike breakfast, it was off to the L, and down the Red Line to Lake station where we were to join a free walking tour starting at 10am. Even though we hadn't booked, we were able to join the tour and pleased that we did, as our guide, Larry, was a native Chicagoan, and full of interesting information about the city.
