      ... a double bed) we made our way to the dining car for breakfast. Then it was along to the observation lounge for the most spectacular day yet.


      There was a stop at Grand Junction station where we could get off for 15 mins or so to get some fresh air and buy a couple of things in the station shop. The train signals its departure by giving 2 of those long deep throated whistles and it's important to get back on board in time - there ain't another until tomorrow! ...

      ... that evening and it was really good. The main act of the night was a guy called Bret Earnst, he was been on comedy central (TV channel) and done quite a few TV shows – he was great actually, really enjoyed it.


      After the show we headed out into Denver town, I experienced a pickle shot (a Pat favorite), and another country bar – I’m really getting into them, and may have brought some country boots…
