    ... I am excited to have someone else with me that I can share the experience with and hopefully this will help with the whole homesickness part that everyone is warning me about.
    The next time that I am writing, hopefully I will be sitting somewhere in Singapore with insane jet lag, sweating my my shirt through, getting a great tan and soaking in this new and amazing place that I am about to spend the next 5 months living in.

    ... The diamonds, necklaces, rings, and crowns were so beautiful and I wish I could've taken them all home! On the other hand, my sisters favorite part was the insect zoo and butterfly exhibit. The girls enjoyed holding a Madagascar hissing cockroach (yuk!) and other creatures of that sort. Definitely not for me! Overall spending a day at the Smithsonian Museum was fun and educational. I hope we can return soon to go to the other Smithsonian museums and see more of Washington ...

    ... as the Intercounty Connector or ICC, is a toll freeway, connecting Gaithersburg in Montgomery Country with Laurel in Prince George's Country. In other words, a Lexus Freeway.     - 9/11 Memorial and the Pentagon: we caught a train to the Pentagon and as soon as you get off, there are signs everywhere telling you no photos are allowed! Security is pretty full on.
