... I am excited to have someone else with me that I can share the experience with and hopefully this will help with the whole homesickness part that everyone is warning me about.

We were awoken today by a knock at the door... It was half 8 so we should have been up anyway. Showered and dressed we headed down for breakfast and the weather outside was grim. ... as the Intercounty Connector or ICC, is a toll freeway, connecting Gaithersburg in Montgomery Country with Laurel in Prince George's Country. In other words, a Lexus Freeway. We rode it to visit my step-sister, Florence. It's a nice, three lane drive, that avoids much of the traffic you encounter on the Maryland roads. But watch out! ... this I fly north to Cairns, Queensland. I'll be on a two day dive trip and after that I am hoping to see the Kuranda rainforest as well. From there I take a train down to Brisbane, to go to the Australia Zoo, the Gallery of Modern Art, and a koala sanctuary.
