Treated ourselves to a bit of a lie on this morning after our long drive yesterday. Set off for Franny's about 11am. Melbourne is near Cocoa Beach on the Atlantic coast of Florida, about 65 miles from Orlando. Fran and Dave moved down from NJ about 7 years ago and they have a very nice home and life down here.
They had had a massive July 4th party at the house the night before which we were too late up from Miami to go to really, so ...

Up at 6.30. Shower and coffee brewed by Marie in the room. Down to reception by 7.50 for an 8.05 pickup. Bus arrived 8.30. We could have had breakfast. Payed driver $20, not sure what for. Arrived at Kennedy Space Centre about 10. Driver gave us a plan of attack: Space Centre bus tour first then ...

... exhibit. This is the final resting place of the shuttle. After watching several historical films including the final launch we were amazed as the film screen raised to reveal the space shuttle. It hangs from supports from the ceiling and the spiralled walkways allow visitors to first have a close side view of the shuttle then progress through the various interesting interactive exhibits to view Atlantis from underneath. It is ...

... to be done - but in the short 3-4 years that the GCA has been there - they are making a difference and WE are also a part of that difference.
The Orphanage had apx. 40 children from the ages of 6-8 years that they have committed to house and educate until they are apx 18 - then they will be productive, educated adults who can help those in Haiti - they will not be adopted and they will not leave Haiti. I was conflicted when I 1st ...
