    ... Barbara talked to the man beside her about his ranch between Houston and Dallas, that he "runs 350 head of cows", and how he sells his calves. Interesting conversations. The only “bugs in the party” were the little bugs crawling around on the concrete and up on the audience. We all were brushing them off all evening.     It's sure is flat out here in the interior! It goes on and on in a flat heat haze! Temperatures have risen and are now over one hundred and I am starting to moan a little!!
    The journey has been out of Memphis very early to beat the mad traffic on the freeways, then a night at Joplin, one in Catoosa near Tulsa, and then on to Amarillo for two nights.

    ... to pay at the pump with credit card but they stop at $100.00. These RV's take way more than $100.00 of fuel so its really annoying that you either have to go through the whole payment process twice or just leave it at $100.00. The only other option is to go and leave your credit card with the cashier. Like that's going to happen... skimming anyone?

    We head off to the campground another few miles away and finally arrive about 8:45pm.
