    4 July - Independence day in America and Tour de France day in Utrecht. Brinta gave us energy and off we went to meet Leilani. At the Jumbo we were all smiles as we met up with Leilani.The streets were crowded already and cycling fans were every where.     Three excellent presentations in Utrecht. Starting to really see the difference between Danish and Dutch styles/attitudes/results when it comes to biking. The Dutch are deadly serious about cycling and it is a part of their culture which cannot, and will never be removed. There isn't a technological innovation, cultural shift, or even occupying army out there that will get these people off of their bikes.

    ... from the city is amazing! It is what I had pictured a cycle superhighway to look like: 3 lanes wide, smooth, flat, and with no stoplights and very few intersections. It was so efficient, it only took 15 minutes to get there from the city center.
