... directly on the sand and lets you experience true barefoot dining. Great place to eat if you don't feel like getting all dressed up. Barefoot and bathing suits w/cover ups are just fine.
The Cricketer's Pint
English pub with traditional pub cuisine. This place just opened the end of 2008. I have to say it is amazing. The food and atmosphere are wonderful. Fantastic new addition to this resort.

... to a close. Even the defecation aggravation and resulting hemorrhoids seemed to respond. I knew it! They sneaked in the back door! Almost symbolically I caught a Seinfeld episode that I'd somehow missed, lost in the crowd, like the one illusory last peanut in a bag holding mostly empty shells, 'Serenity Now' ("Newman!"), the end of an era. It's time to move on. I'll spend a week in California before heading out to Rome. See you there. If you ...
Montego Bay, Jamaica hardiek... which is true, that's not to be confused with the scads of hustlers pretending to be your instant friend. Aside from the simple offering of goods for sale, including ganja, they have a couple of interesting come-on lines I haven't encountered elsewhere. One starts "I can see you're not a racist" and the other "Hey! Remember me?" at which point the hustler claims to be the cook at a restaurant he assumes you've frequented or ...
Montego Bay, Jamaica hardiek... rend**ed helpless. Ditto for ent**tainment, Trinidad is on top with a lively street scene and many bars and clubs that seem attractive and inviting, not to mention a world-class Carnaval. Paramaribo has potential with its attractive historic district, but it's largely untapped. The lead-up to New Year was great fun, though, lively and rambunctious. I haven't been to the Sh**iff Street party district in Georgetown, but it doesn't sound too ...
Montego Bay, Jamaica hardiek... anyone would do anything else there besides swim or have intercourse... I'm talking about SOCIAL intercourse, you dirty minds out there, talking and laughing and mutual masterminding, that sort of thing. I wouldn't mind some myself, swimming that is, but it hardly seems worth all the extra protection for that one sublime moment when you surrender all to the warm wet wildness of nature's vast womb. Where does the passport and money go? Such ...
Montego Bay, Jamaica hardiek... arranged a private van with driver and guide for a negotiated per person amount. Just before returning to the ship, the guide told us that we had misunderstood the agreement and the actual charge was three times the negotiated amount. Rather than fight, we agreed to pay twice the original cost. Jamaica is a dirty, squalid place, obviously with ripoff artists. Don't waste your time visiting. We did not see a single area here we would feel comfortable wandering around on our own.
Montego Bay, Jamaica k6eid... spend at your hotel). We went through customs with a breeze and were off to JTL to catch our free shuttle to the resort. My 4 yr old was finally fast asleep but my 6 yrs old was lagging behind because we forgot her favourite doll - I hope this one mistake doesn't ruin our vacation. We got onto the shuttle at about 11:45am and waited for about 15 minutes, then we were off to our dream resort. Everyone is so ...
Montego Bay, Jamaica iriegirl... Ocho Rios....and climbed the Dunn River Falls....it was pretty neat...where people can climb the actual falls and wear those special hydro slippers....We did major shopping in downtown too...and tried some of those famous Jerk Beef, Chicken and Ribs....nice........loved it...the drive was terrible as we were cramped into a small car and someone freaked out with the driving...it pays to have lived in Manila most of my life and experienced crazy driving there.....hehehe ...
Montego Bay, Jamaica longie... and take in the full flavour of its Caribbean city appeal. One huge downpour of rain resulted in cars floating around in the town centre, which made the place look spooky, and it was good to discover that a 5 minute walk further up from the payable Doctor's Cove beach was a stretch of beach equally enjoyable, minus the full extent of facilities, but cost-free, and the kind of beach with which I would associate a Caribbean ...
Montego Bay, Jamaica jollyjetsetter... The next day we all wanted to go to a spring/waterfall/river a few miles away from the PCV's house called Blue Hole. We got there no problem, payed our money to get in, and were all in awe. It's a huge place, and we were the only people there. The river/waterfall is smaller (narrower) than Dunn's River, but I enjoyed it more. It was more natural and just beautiful beyond belief! Those were the highlights of last weekend. Next: Halloween on the East Coast!
