... concert. The next thing I know, folks were out of their seats and dancing in the aisles to everything from Tye Tribbett’s “Victory” to Kirk Franklin’s “Stomp” (yes, they took it ALL the way back to the ‘90s!). I’ve uploaded a short video of the celebration for your enjoyment.

Overall, it was a great experience and I was grateful ...

... past Westminster & Big Ben, down Whitehall, along Pall Mall, around BP House, down Constitution Hill and through Belgravia, past the Natural History Museum and Knightsbridge then onto Heathrow - a summary of our week really. Check in done...and a big <> when the bag weights came in under - they even weighed the carry-on!! ...and so ends our little sojourn as we head home to ...

... to spend some time comforting her. As we made our approach into Heathrow, she did something I've never seen before - she vomited on the plane - with no barf bag. We cleaned up as best we could, but at some point we had to give up and strap in for landing. It then took us quite a long time to get ready to debark the plane. ... D&T therefore students need to learn basic skills when they come in year 7

  • CAD/ CAM skills are utilised as value added in projects to ensure traditional techniques are not eliminated as they believe traditional skills enable creativity.
  • General Observations:
    • Lovely close knit staff
    • Lots of bright colours filling the Technology rooms making it very welcoming and inspirational for the kids

    Trouble in the burrow

    ... and games in the amusement rooms on the pier. It was late in the Afternoon by now and we only had time to swing past the Pavillion, which has an interesting genesis that goes back to the prince regent who had some exotic and extravagant tastes in architecture and decor. The outside of the pavilion is Indian while the interior is in colourful Chinese reds and yellows.

    our evening ended with a beautifully done lasagne that Julie cooked, the first real meal in a week so far.
