... to do a bit of window shopping. Funnily enough, a couple of pairs of boots each happened to step out of the window and into our bags. There was a special on, buy 1 pair get 2 pairs free. Well, we couldn't split 3 pairs so the deal was 1 pair full price, 2 pairs free and the 4th pair was a third of the price of the most expensive. Good deal we said and grabbed them.

We started the day by visiting a breakfast place recommended by the staff at the hotel, called the Pancake Pantry. It's been open over 50 years and we were warned that there is often a long wait, but it would be worth it. They were right on both counts. The fellow that started this tour business, Bill DeMain, does a FANTASTIC job of explaining the historical sites in about a 1/2 mile radius and tells personal stories of country music stars from when he interviewed them OR studied their history.
