By the time the game was finished, the buses had stopped, or
were at least too long to wait for. So we walked the blocks back to our hotel,
feeling the night breeze on our fading sunburn and watching the nightlife
emerge around us. Plenty of people were on their way to nightclubs and bars
that were pumping as we walked past them. But we just strolled on, with my
ankle starting to whinge, and got back to our comfy bed and our luxurious
