    ... way down we stopped at Tekapo Springs and had a lovely hot pool soak with a choice of three pools each the shape of a local lake! Now what is the chance that we would be sitting in a hot pool in Lake Tekapo, New Zealand, opposite a couple talking about Nirvana Spa near Bracknell ... hey ho!

    Slept so well last night! Met in the corner cafe for our pre ordered individual breakfasts. Eggs cooked to perfection! A couple of quick morning photos and on the bus at 8.30. Onto the bus for a 45-50 minute drive up to Mt. John Observatory for some magnificent views of Lake Pukaki and the surrounding alps, including Mt. Cook and some of its neighbours. Stunning!     ... by the bus. After lunch we had a scenic ride beside the lake for about 15 km's into quite a strong headwind. Back on the bus and off to our accommodation in Kurow. Kurow is a small town that consists of 3 pubs, a bottle shop, a boutique wine outlet, a café and a junk shop that if you want to buy something from the junk shop phone them and they come and open up.
