... Loads of these dinosaur egg like boulders have broken open and look as if they have hatched, or just like convenient natural bath tubs if it was warm enough. This is actually where the largest NZ fossil was discovered (that we saw at the Otago museum) – inside a massive egg like boulder, the dinosaur fossil was found - pretty neat.

We had to make a stop off at the Moeraki Boulders next which was only just round the coast and is one of the big touristy ...

We will try to head back the same way tomorrow and see of we can get another fun ...

01/02/2014 Woke up and got dressed. Sparky was cooking pancakes for breakfast so everyone was up fairly early! We ate our breakfast just as James and Vicky arrived. We made a picnic up and then got ready to go to Orana Wildlife Park! Me and Hef had been here last year but Em and Sparky hadn't been. We arrived at Orana Park after some faffing about and made our way to the farmyard area. This wasn't actually that interesting for most of us as we have all had experience with ...

This was the one day I had for gliding in NZ, so was hoping for good weather.
The day dawned and the sky was clear and blue, except to the west where small cu were popping over the mountains. The weather briefing was at 10am and we were told that the front had gone through much quicker than expected and was already many miles north. The wind had gone easterly and this was bringing cool (****) air in from the coast, so the best weather ...
