... we will take the midnight flight to Lima. While waiting, mom and I went "out" for dinner at a Cuban restaurant. We ate yuca, fried chicken, fried fish, spanish rice and plantains. The food was only ok but for the taste the price should be lower.
During the plane ride I like sitting by the window and seeing the view when we are in the clouds I took two pictures.
I don't want to bore you guys so I'll add more when I get to Lima.
Weather: Start 18C gloomy with misty rain. End 4:30pm clear sky and 32C !!!
The temperature had almost doubled since I started this morning. As soon as I checked into my motel this afternoon I was straight into the swimming pool to cool down. It's now 8:30 and it is still 31C outside. I see that in London ON it is 16C. I don't know which is better.
Well today off into the countryside ...
... camping. With our fabulous timing we had arrived on some crazy big weekend for the area as it was the opening day for their local Renaissance festival. Saw some interesting wenches and merry maids in the KOA bathrooms the next few days.
We got right back into the swing of camping by making a pesto pasta with one of our favorite gourmet ingredients...HOT DOGS!. I am telling myself they are a good source of protein...and surely very low in sodium...right?
... can't be good. Probably a brain tumor, I think. All day I keep hoping it will go away, but it doesn't. I imagine going to the doctor and her wanting to rush me into surgery. "Hold on," I'd say, "can't this wait until after I get back from Isle Royale?"
Monday morning I call the doctor and get a same-day appointment. They send in a young physician's assistant who asks a couple of questions and tells me I need to see an ophthalmologist. Today. But she won't tell me why. She ...
... colonies and roads segregated to lead into a huge parking lot.
As I got out, sight of many Indians in sarees, salwars, southern traditional dresses! Wow, after quite a few days in US, it was really a treat to the eyes to see these.
Entered in, they had a place to hang coats(Minnesota is a cold place with winter for 6 months) and remove our shoes.
Back up could already hear Aartis ...
